Vol. 406 No. 3

Written Answers. - Income Tax Rebate.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

130 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance if a rebate of income tax is due to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who has been unemployed since 21 December 1990; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of receipt of a claim for a tax refund from the taxpayer. The taxpayer should submit his Form P.45 to the inspector together with Form P.50 (application for repayment of tax during unemployment). The inspector will then review his liability and any tax overdeducted will be refunded.
