87 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Finance the total costs to the Exchequer of any legal or financial consultants retained by the State arising from the sale of the majority of its shares in the Irish Sugar Company Limited; the name of each consultant engaged; and the total fees paid in each case.
Davy Stockbrokers were appointed as financial adviser and broker to the issue in connection with the disposal of part of my shareholding in Siúicre Éireann cpt. The total fee payable is £250,000 together with a small, as yet undetermined, amount for incidental expenses.
This fee includes payments to William Fry Solicitors and Price Waterhouse & Co., for legal and accounting services provided by those firms in connection with the sale.
