152 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health if he will outline his plans for the provision of a new health centre in Swords, County Dublin; if he will further outline the nature of the works being carried out in the existing health centre on Main Street, Swords, County Dublin; and the time schedule involved in this project.
Provision for additional capital investment in the health services will be made over the course of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress. This provision will enable a major programme of health centre development to be completed. In this regard, the Eastern Health Board have already indicated that the provision of a new health centre in Swords is among their top priorities. In the interim, the board have already commenced redecoration work and works to provide for a second dental surgery and also improve the central heating at the existing centre. It is expected that these works will be completed before the end of May.
