Ceist:172 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the requested extension of speed limits applied for by Wexford County Council in recent years; and when this extension will be approved.

In April 1987 Wexford County Council submitted proposals to my Department for the revision of speed limits but later that year, the council informed the Department that they did not intend to proceed with the revision. Consequently, no action has been taken in the matter.
