Ceist:

52 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline (i) the number of staff recruited through special competitions for the disabled in the Civil Service, (ii) their grades and the Department where they are employed and (iii) whether they are (a) on contract, (b) on probation, (c) established or (d) unestablished.

Since 1986, the Civil Service Commission have held three special recruitment competitions for disabled persons. Details of these competitions, including the numbers, grades, employing Departments and employment status of the successful candidates are set out in the following table. Information regarding earlier special competitions held by the Civil Service Commission could not be obtained within the time available, but can be furnished to the Deputy if he contacts the Commission directly.
