63 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice the annual cost of business crime per employee in the Dublin Metropolitan area.

64 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice the percentage of assaults against those in employment which occur in the workplace in the Dublin Metropolitan area.

65 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice the percentage of theft of personal property which occurs in the workplace in the Dublin Metropolitan area.

68 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the percentage of cases where the rapist is known to the victim.

69 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice the percentage of all assaults on women in the Dublin Metropolitan area which are domestic.

70 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice the age and sex group of the main victims of assault in the Dublin Metropolitan area.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 63, 64, 65, 68, 69 and 70 together.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the information sought is not readily available and could be obtained only by the expenditure of a disproportionate amount of Garda time and resources.

66 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice the percentage of all recorded crime in the Dublin Metropolitan area which is violent.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the relevant information which is readily available relates to total crime recorded and the number of offences categorised as (1) offences against the person and (2) offences against property with violence, and is given in the following tabular statement for 1989 and 1990 for the Dublin Metropolitan area.

67 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice the percentage of violent crime which is accounted for by rape.

The relevant information which is readily available is contained in the Garda Commissioner's annual report on crime, copies of which may be obtained in the Oireachtas Library.
