40 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Finance when a tax-free allowance certificate will be issued to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13; the reasons this certificate has not issued since 22 March 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a return of income form dated 22 April 1991 was received by the inspector of taxes dealing with his tax affairs on 17 May 1991. It was originally sent to the wrong unit by the taxpayer.
A certificate of tax-free allowances for the current year, 1991-92 was issued on 27 May 1991.
