Ceist:

142 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the cost to her Department if the present thresholds for third level educations grants were increased by: (a) 25 per cent, (b) 33 per cent and (c) 50 per cent; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

As the income levels of non-grant holders is not available to the Department, it is not possible to outline the cost to the Department of the listed increases in the threshold for grants.
