169 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if he has agreed to meet a deputation from the Sheriff Street subcommittee of Dublin City Council in relation to lands in CIE ownership at Seville Place, Dublin 1; and when the meeting will take place.
I have received a request from Dublin Corporation on behalf of the Sheriff Street group to meet a small delegation to discuss the making available to Dublin Corporation of land owned by CIE to facilitate the rehousing of tenants displaced from the Sheriff Street area. CIE have recently submitted a report on the land in their possession in this area and this report is being examined at present by my Department. The report is also currently the subject of correspondence between the Department of the Environment and Dublin Corporation.
My Department have agreed to meet with representatives of the Sheriff Street group and this meeting will take place shortly.
