170 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if he will outline the details of plans under the operational programme on peripherality for future development of the rail freight department in Dundalk, County Louth; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The operational programme on peripherality includes provision for a new rail freight gantry at Dundalk. It is expected that the project will cost £0.8 million and that the work will be completed by the end of next year.
