105 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason an application by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick for a grant under the operational programme for rural development EC assisted schemes for the potato sector was not considered by his Department; if taking all the circumstances into account, he will allow the person to reapply; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The application in question which was made on an incorrect form, did not include all of the requisite details. This was pointed out to the applicant and an application form was supplied to him. However to date a completed form has not been received in my Department.
The closing date for receipt of applications under the first round of the scheme for potatoes was 31 March 1991. If a completed application is received at this stage if will be considered under the second round.
