34 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Education when she proposes to circulate the Bill to establish the Dublin Institute of Technology on a statutory basis; if she intends to have consultations with the various parties involved before the legislation is finalised; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

During the course of preparation of the Bill I met with various parties involved—more than once in a number of cases. These included the TUI, IVEAVEC, LGPSU, the principals (APTI) and the principals of the colleges of the Dublin Institute of Technology.

I intend to circulate the Bill very shortly.
