151 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if, in relation to the £70,000 allocated in the 1990 education estimates for technology aids, she will outline the amount which was spent in primary schools; the number of primary schools which participated; the amount which was spent in post-primary schools; the number of post-primary schools which participated; if she will further out line the other purposes on which this money was used; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

152 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if, in relation to the £72,000 allocated in the 1991 educational estimate for technology aids, she will out line (1) the amount of money which was spent in primary schools, (2) the number of primary schools which participated, (3) the amount which was spent in post- primary schools, (4) the number of post- primary schools which participated and (5) the other purposes on which the money was used.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 151 and 152 together.

The total 1990 allocation for tech nological aids was used for the purchase of filmstrips series for Cúrsaí Comhrá Gaeilge which are in use in primary schools.

Proposals for spending the allocation of £72,000 for 1991 are still under con sideration.
