Emmet Stagg

Ceist:

48 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline, in respect of the decentralisation programme to (a) Ballina, (b) Galway, (c) Sligo, (d) Letterkenny, (e) Killarney, (f) Athlone, (g) Ennis, (h) Nenagh and (i) Limerick, the total costs incurred to date for each location and (j) a breakdown of the main items of expenditure.

I have set out the costs incurred to date on the various decentralisation projects. The annual payment figures represent the first and subsequent payments which fell due under the terms of the contract between the Commissioners of Public Works and the various developers.

Expenditure on sites: Cavan, £51,712; Nenagh, £70,000; Ballina, £195,000; Sligo, £150,000.

There was no expenditure on the remaining sites.

Site surveys: Since 1987, a total of £28,806 has been expended on site surveys.
