91 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Justice if he has instigated an investigation as to the way in which an obscene letter purported to have been censored was sent from an inmate to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

An investigation has commenced into the incident in question and, in the meantime, steps have been taken to prevent a recurrence. A written apology has, of course, been sent to the recipient of the letter.
