Vol. 412 No. 2

Written Answers. - Enniscorthy (Wexford) Veterinary Office.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

74 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he has satisfied himself that adequate staff are available at the district veterinary office in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, in view of the delays in relation to processing subsidy claims and other similar matters; if he will make arrangements to increase the staff in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am satisfied that there are sufficient staff available in this Department's local office in Enniscorthy to administer the various livestock schemes. In this regard, staff are redeployed as necessary within this office to ensure that claims are paid as soon as possible.
