75 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when he expects to have final proposals for the sub-division of the commonage known as Mushera Mountain in County Cork; and if he will outline the reasons for the delay in this sub-division.
Every effort was made by my Department to get the agreement of all the shareholders to the division of this commonage but without success.
The question of using the powers granted under the Land Acts to have it compulsorily divided has been under consideration. However, action in this regard has had to be deferred pending the outcome of a High Court appeal in a similar case in County Mayo.
