Ceist:

100 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for the Environment if funding will be provided to Kerry County Council, in the current or forthcoming financial year, to enable work to proceed on the Ardfert sewerage scheme.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 96, 97, 98, 99 and 100 together.

A total of 37 proposals were received from Kerry County Council under the small water and sewerage schemes programme, 1991.

Five proposals, costing £111,000, including Ardfert sewerage scheme, were approved. Having regard to the competing demands for high priority schemes and the limited funds available for the small schemes programme, I will not be in a position to approve further schemes in the current financial year.
