Ceist:106 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Health when approval will issue for a position (details supplied) in the Western Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The post to which the Deputy refers is in fact currently filled in a temporary capacity.
Proposals for the filling of this and other such posts on a permanent basis are reviewed on a monthly basis by my Department. This review, is undertaken having particular regard to financial and employment control criteria and to the priority afforded to each post. The permanent filling of the post referred to by the Deputy will be considered shortly in the normal way in the context of the various other posts requested by the Western Health Board and the relative priority attached to each post by the health board.
