Ceist:

93 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline in respect of his Department (1) the number of Government contracts which are in force, (2) whether all contracts are renewed each year and (3) if all contracts are granted as a result of tendering to the most competitive estimate.

Compilation of the information requested in relation to the wide range of contracts that the Department enters into each year would be very time consuming and would not justify the effort involved.

If however, the Deputy requires information on a particular type or group of contracts every effort will be made to provide this information.
