58 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education the number and location of primary schools in County Kildare in respect of which an application has been submitted for provision of extra classroom accommodation; if he intends to approve the commencement of site works in any or all of these cases in the coming year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An application for additional classroom accommodation is under consideration in the case of one primary school in County Kildare, viz. Confey national school.

Should the provision of additional accommodation be approved, the question of inviting tenders and placing a contract will be considered in the context of the 1992 budgetary situation and the many priorities and commitments.
