Vol. 414 No. 9

Written Answers. - North Tipperary Road Works.

Michael Lowry

Ceist:

103 Mr. Lowry asked the Minister for the Environment if he will confirm that he intends to sanction moneys to Tipperary North Riding County Council to enable them to continue with essential improvement works at Whitefield on the Templemore/Thurles road which is a very dangerous and heavily trafficked secondary route on the No. 62; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A road grant allocation of £100,000 was made to Tipperary (N.R.) County Council in 1991 for improvement work on the national secondary route N62 between Templemore and Thurles. Funding for further improvement works on this section of road will be considered when the 1992 road grant allocations are being determined.
