Written Answers. - Keeping of Siberian Tigers.

Ceist:

61 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the regulations which apply in relation to the keeping of Siberian tigers by a private citizen where the animals were received from an Irish circus.

I have no direct responsibility for the keeping of these animals. The Protection of Animals Acts, 1911 and 1965, do, however, govern the welfare of animals in general. These Acts are enforced by the Garda Síochána.
