Vol. 415 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Tom Enright

Ceist:

172 Mr. Enright asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Offaly has been approved for a pollution control grant; if so (1) the amount of grant approved and (2) when payment will be made.

A grant of £5,924 has been approved in this case and will be paid inside the next few weeks.

Tom Enright

Ceist:

173 Mr. Enright asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will expedite payment of beef subsidy and suckler cow grants due to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly; if he will outline the progress made to date in regard to this application; and when payment will be made.

This case is being investigated to determine how much of the applicant's farm is inside and how much outside the disadvantaged areas so that the proportionate payment due to him can be calculated by my Department. As soon as that investigation is completed, he will be paid the grants due to him.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

174 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have arrangements made for immediate payment of a headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

This applicant's 1991 beef cow and suckler cow premium schemes grants are being processed and payment will issue shortly.

Ceist:

175 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have arrangements made for immediate payment of a headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

This applicant's 1991 beef cow and suckler cow schemes grants are being processed and payment will issue shortly.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

176 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have arrangements made for payment of a beef subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The person named applied under the 1991 special beef premium scheme for a grant in respect of an animal which had already received premium under the 1990 special beef premium scheme. Under EC regulations my Department has no choice but to rule this applicant out of the 1991 special beef premium scheme and to debar him from the scheme for 12 months from 19 November 1991.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

177 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have arrangements made for immediate payment of a headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

This applicant's 1991 beef cow, suckler cow and special beef premium schemes grants are being processed and payment will issue shortly.

Brian Cowen

Ceist:

178 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a beef cattle premium will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

Further inquiries are necessary in this case as some of the animals on which grants have been claimed were retagged twice. If the person named can satisfy my Department that the animals are eligible for grants, payment will then issue.
