Ceist:310 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment if he will approve proposals submitted to his Department by Kilkenny County Council regarding traffic management in the Dominic Street/Stephen Street areas in Kilkenny city.

My Department has received no proposals relating specifically to traffic management measures in this area. However, Kilkenny County Council submitted proposals in December last to provide traffic signs which would incorporate notice of a restriction on access to the city for vehicles with an unladen weight over a specific level. A decision on these proposals will be made as soon as possible.
