Ceist:335 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for non payment of the £3,000 subsidy under the housing grants scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

A mortgage subsidy cannot be allowed as the application was received after 6 March 1987, the final date for the receipt of such applications. However, a £2,250 "builders grant" and a £2,000 new house grant were paid in respect of the house.
