Vol. 415 No. 1

Written Answers. - Appointment of Audiometrician.

Gerry O'Sullivan

Ceist:

381 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health if, in view of the long waiting list at the South Infirmary-Victoria Hospital, Cork for audiograms, she will outline when an audiologist will be appointed there; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The Deputy will be aware that as part of the 1992 Estimates the Government have provided for a wide range of service developments in a number of acute hospitals throughout the country. This provision includes the further development of the ear, nose and throat service at the South Infirmary-Victoria Hospital, Cork. The appointment of an audiometrician is being provided for as part of the further development of the ear, nose and throat services at the hospital.
