Ceist:431 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when a new vocational school will be sanctioned for Ballyhale, County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have approved the provision of a major extension at Ballyhale vocational school.
In line with other major building projects, my Department have had to review the proposed project in the light of the most recent school enrolments and demographic trends. In particular, the long term needs of the Ballyhale post primary catchment area have to be assessed in the light of this review. Accordingly, I am not in a position at present to state what provision is to be made for Ballyhale vocational school.
