Vol. 415 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

46 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a headage payment for ewes will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who is in a disadvantaged area; and if in view of the fact that the file has now gone for payment to the Castlebar offices of his Department he will expedite payment as it is long overdue as a result of administrative delays and errors.

This applicant was paid the first instalment of the 1991 ewe premium on 30 September 1991, the second instalment on 7 November 1991 and will be paid the third and final instalment in March-April 1992 when the EC Commission fixes the level of that instalment.

I regret that her payment under the sheep headage scheme in the disadvantaged areas was miscoded and thus delayed, but I have now arranged for immediate payment of these headage grants.

Donal Carey

Ceist:

47 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid his farm development grant; and when this file was passed from the Ennis office of his Department.

The file in this case was forwarded from the local office for processing in December.

The grant will be paid inside the next week.
