Ceist:184 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Education whether under present regulations, primary teachers are ineligible to hold public house licences; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Rule 110 (5) of the rules for national schools forbids teachers from keeping, or acting as assistants in keeping, public houses or houses for the sale of spiritous liquors.
The operation of this rule will be reviewed in due course in the general review of the rules for national schools.
