Ceist:66 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment the reason Kerry Recycling Co-op were not included among the pilot programme for recycling initiated by his Department in 1991.

Capital grants of £20,000 and £44,600 were paid in relation to Kerry Recycling Co-op in 1989 and 1990, respectively. It was not possible to make further allocation to this project in 1991 given the limited overall funds available for the recycling grants scheme and the fact that certain clarifications were being sought by my Department from the promoters in relation to the earlier grants.
