Ceist:259 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will give details of all national lottery funding allocated to County Westmeath since the national lottery began operating.

Since 1988 funds from the national lottery have been allocated to my Department for the assistance of Irish culture and artistic projects abroad. The allocation for this year is £213,000. Individuals and groups may apply for grants for suitable projects under this heading but in many cases such applications are not readily identifiable with a particular geographic location. Furthermore, most of the funds granted are of their nature expended either abroad or on travel abroad. It is not possible, therefore, to supply the information in the form requested by the Deputy.
