Ceist:242 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health the proposals, if any, he has to introduce a major review of the operations of the GMS under an independent chairman.
Written Answers. - Review of GMS Contract.
The present GMS contract states that the terms of the contract shall be subject to alteration every three years, in accordance with the outcome of a review of the agreement between the Minister for Health and the Irish Medical Organisation, on arrangements for the provision of services. This review formally commenced last week under the independent chairmanship of Professor Tom Murphy.
