Ceist:102 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Defence whether there is a proposal to merge the 2nd and 6th field companies of the military police; if he will make a statement on the matter.

The question of the amalgamation of the 2nd and 6th Field Military Police Companies is under consideration. The Unit authorities have been consulted through the normal military channels and prior to a final decision further consultations with interested parties will take place.
