33 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline whether the information booklet for prisoners, as recommended by the Advisory Group on Prison Deaths, is now in circulation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
An information booklet for persons in custody is available in both committal places of custody in the Dublin area, i.e. Mountjoy Prison and St. Patrick's Institution, and also in our newest institution for 320 persons at Wheatfield in Dublin. Arrangements are being made to have similar booklets made available at an early date in the other closed places of custody. I have arranged for my Department to forward to the Deputy a copy of the information booklet made available to persons in custody in Mountjoy Prison for her information.
