Vol. 436 No. 7

Written Answers. - Coolock (Dublin) School.

Seán Haughey

Ceist:

211 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that Coláiste Dhúlaigh CDVEC school, Coolock, Dublin 5, was built 24 years ago and, as a result, has had a substantial amount of wear and tear; if her attention has been further drawn to the fact that the school roof leaks during heavy rain, that the school yard needs resurfacing and that there is concern in the area at the general appearance of the school from the Clonshaugh Road end; and if, in view of the fact that schools and committees of vocational education can only respond to requests for additional maintenance funding within the allocation of funds made available by her Department to them, she will make a special financial allocation to the CDVEC to carry out this specific work.

My Department has no application from the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee for grant assistance for remedial work to Coláiste Dhulaigh, Coolock. Any application received in this regard will be fully considered.
