I propose to take Questions Nos. 136, 137, 138 and 139 together.
Information in relation to the number of homeless persons and the cost incurred, on a monthly basis, by Dublin Corporation and Dublin County Council in providing bed and breakfast accommodation for such homeless persons is not available in my Department. For 1991, both authorities made claims under section 10 of the Housing Act, 1988 in relation to the calendar year. The recoupment claim by the County Council indicated that bed and breakfast accommodation had been provided for 91 homeless persons at a cost of £27,311.88, 80 per cent of which is recouped by my Department. Final details of the costs incurred by Dublin Corporation in providing bed and breakfast accommodation in 1991 for homeless persons, and the numbers accommodated, are awaited from the corporation.
