Ceist:134 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on the Department's failure to release the necessary funding to pay long overdue grants for improvements to general medical services practice premises.

I am aware that most health boards have not been in a position to pay practice premises grants to general practitioners for the past number of years.
I have therefore recently released Capital funding and made arrangements with Health Boards for the immediate payment of practice premises in all cases where a commitment to the payment of such grant existed.
