165 Mr. D'Arcy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the alarming increase in the number of TB reactor herds and the number of reactors per herd; and if he will give details of this increase.
There has not been an alarming increase this year in the number of TB reactor herds. The number of restricted herds at present is 6,540 as against 6,403 this time last year and 8,142 at the same time in 1990. Neither has there been a significant variation in the average numbers of reactor per herd removed over the last three years.
