129 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for the Marine the position regarding the claim for job loss compensation by former employees of Irish Shipping who lost their jobs through the liquidation of Irish Shipping Ltd. over eight years ago.

Proposals to establish a framework within which this issue can be progressed are still under consideration. I am working with Government colleagues to arrive at an equitable solution as soon as possible.
