145 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment of a headage grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; if his attention has been drawn to the hardship caused to this family due to the non-payment of this grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The applications of the person named for grants under the 1992 cattle headage, suckler cow premium and special beef premium schemes are being processed at present and if found to be in order payments will be made shortly.

My Department's attention had not been drawn to the hardship caused.

This applicant's 1992 cattle headage, special beef premium and suckler cow premium schemes grants are being processed at present and if found in order payments will issue shortly.

147 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cavan has not received his headage payments; and when payment will be made.

This applicant has been paid his 1992 beef cow and equines headage scheme grant already.

My Department is awaiting documentation from his creamery in connection with his 1992 suckler cow premium scheme application and when that has been received and if his application is found to be in order he will be paid any grants due to him under that scheme.

Further investigations are necessary to establish the eligibility of the person named for grants under the 1992 cattle headage, suckler cow premium and special beef premium schemes.

Payment in relation to each of the schemes will issue if and when the eligibility query is resolved satisfactorily.

The person named did not apply for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme.

The herd number quoted does not refer to the person named. If the Deputy supplies the correct name, address and herd number my Department will provide the information requested.

151 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Cavan will receive his headage grant which is overdue.

This applicant's 1992 cattle and equines headage scheme grant is being processed at present and if found in order payment will issue shortly. He applied for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme but under EC Regulations he was debarred from that scheme until December 1992 because he applied under the 1991 scheme for grants on six animals that had already received premium under the 1990 scheme.
