62 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Finance the name of the partnership programme manager appointed to his Department; the names of the special advisers, if any, appointed; the qualifications of the people so appointed; and the remuneration involved in each case.
Mr. Gerry Hickey has been appointed as partnership programme manager to this Department. Mr. Hickey is a principal in my Department and his current salary is £40,471 per annum.
Mr. Cyprian Brady has been appointed as a special adviser at an annual salary of £18,879.
There are no specific qualifications required for either of these positions.
63 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Finance the number of people appointed by him to his constituency office; the qualifications of those so appointed; and the remuneration involved in each case.
There are a total of five people in my constituency office all of whom are civil servants: one administrative assistant at a salary of £21,372 per annum; one executive officer at a salary of £21,087 per annum; and one personal secretary at a salary of £11,373 per annum; two clerical assistants at salaries of £191.49 and £178.11, respectively.
There are no special qualifications necessary for these posts.
