Vol. 426 No. 5
331 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Education if she will appoint a full-time officer to promote ladies gaelic football.
An application has been received from the Ladies Gaelic Football Association for financial assistance towards the cost of employing a development officer. However, because of limits on funding for sport it has not been possible during the past two years to award grant-aid to the association for this purpose. The association has, however, been in receipt since 1989 of grant-aid to assist in the areas of coaching, equipment, administration and special projects.
The application will again be considered in the context of the 1993 provision for sport.
