Ceist:

143 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment if it is proposed to offer the required grant of £100,000 to a company (details supplied) in Dublin 8 who has submitted a proposal to create 60 extra jobs in a rag recycling project which would act as an import substitute and develop into an export business.

Wexford): My Department has received a general inquiry from the company referred to about possible grant assistance. I expect to decide shortly on the type of activities to be assisted from the provision of some £400,000 for recycling grants in this year's Estimates.
