162 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has sanctioned a £1 million pound grant to develop the new dump site at Maingnaminane, Ballymacelligott, County Kerry; and, if so, if the money will be made available to Kerry County Council immediately so that work may commence.
Wexford): I refer to the reply to Question No. 27 of 23 February 1993. The recent Budget Statement indicated that application would be made in 1993 for assistance from the Cohesion Fund in relation to a range of environmental projects, including waste disposal infrastructure proposals submitted by local authorities. The Muingnaminane landfill proposal will be considered in this context.
