230 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the amount of funds made available by him to the Gaeltacht regions under the LEADER Programme; if specific moneys have been allocated to the mid-Cork Gaeltacht; and, if so, the amount.
A total of £1.65 million made up of £0.99 million EC and £0.66 million national funding, has been approved for Meitheal Forbartha na Gaeltachta, the company responsible for administering the LEADER programme in the Gaeltacht areas. The distribution of the funds among the various Gaeltacht areas is a matter for the company.
