Vol. 427 No. 6

Written Answers. - Small Claims Court Orders.

Liz McManus

Ceist:

107 Ms. McManus asked the Minister for Justice the steps, if any, proposed to enforce small claims court orders.

Small Claims Court Orders are enforceable by the enforcement of Court Orders Acts, 1926 to 1940. The Acts confer jurisdiction on the District Court to enforce judgments and orders not only of the District Court but also of the Circuit and High Courts against a debtor who is able but unwilling to pay and who has no goods which could be taken in execution under the ordinary process of the courts.
