Ceist:114 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health if an expectant mother (details supplied) in the South Eastern Health Board area will be granted the home birth care and midwifery services she is entitled to without further delay.

In relation to the case referred to by the Deputy, I have been in touch with the South Eastern Health Board. The board has written to the individual concerned. I am satisfied that she has been advised of the situation and that every effort is being made to facilitate her with a home birth.
