135 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the anxiety being experienced by Sixmilebridge Soccer Club, County Clare, due to the delay in completing a compulsory purchase order (details supplied); and when this order will be completed.
Clare County Council Compulsory Purchase (Development) (No. 1) Order, 1993, made by Clare County Council for the acquisition of sites for amenity purposes, a sewerage treatment plant and a fire station was submitted to my Department on 22 February 1993. Objections have since been received against confirmation of the order and the holding of a public local inquiry will therefore be necessary. There will be no avoidable delay in making arrangements for holding the inquiry and in the final determination of the order.
