Vol. 428 No. 5

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

Bernard Allen

Ceist:

209 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not received a decision on her application for disabled persons maintenance allowance from the Southern Health Board although she applied for same over 12 months ago, and in a letter dated 25 November 1992 Deputy Allen was informed that the application was being dealt with.

Payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the Chief Executive Officer, Southern Health Board, with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
